Rebuilding Through Healthcare
Liberia’s post-war healthcare system remains severely underdeveloped, leaving many citizens without access to even the most basic medical care. The country faces one of the highest infant mortality rates in the world, and thousands of families struggle to receive life-saving treatment.
The recent Ebola outbreak further devastated the nation, shutting down education, businesses, and public services while taking thousands of lives and leaving hundreds of orphans. In response, LEAP has taken proactive measures to protect communities and build a foundation for a healthier future.
- Educated communities about Ebola prevention.
- Supplied rice, water, and critical hygiene supplies.
- These efforts were highly successful in preventing further spread of the disease.
- Every Healthcare Directly Impacts Liberian Communities
Our Healthcare Initiatives
Community Healthcare Outreach
LEAP volunteers conduct primary care clinics for individuals who cannot afford treatment. These outreach efforts provide essential health services and education directly to those in need.
Education & Scholarships
We support the next generation of healthcare professionals in Liberia, including sponsoring nursing students and providing education to aspiring healthcare workers.
Future Clinic Development
LEAP is actively planning and fundraising for a permanent healthcare clinic to serve thousands of residents in surrounding communities. Land has already been purchased, marking the first step toward creating a sustainable healthcare resource.
Student Meals
Basic meals to ensure proper nutrition for learning and growth.
